Tour the course: tour the course

The old world charm of this "Scottish Links" style course is captivating, with eighteen championship holes designed by professional golf architect Mike Morley. This experience is all masterfully nested along the winding Sauk River.

Lynx National features tall prairie grasses and wildflowers in the rough. The rolling hills and winds of mother nature further compliment the challenge of this old country golf experience. The marshy wetlands and water surrounding the course not only challenge golfers, but attract wildlife to this pristine and natural area.

Course Description
The course resembles many Links-style courses in Scotland and Ireland. Many of the characteristics of these courses included well groomed fairways alongside prairie grasses and wildflowers. Add an occasional blustery wind, gaping and strategically placed 53 bunkers, plus large undulating greens, and one can sense what it was like to golf in Scotland.

Golfers of all abilities and handicaps can play Lynx National Golf Course. The par 72 course plays from four sets of tees measuring 7,000 yards from the back tees and  5,260 from the forward tees. The focal point of the course is its massive greens that average nearly 8,000 square feet.

"Hole #15 - Par 5, 625 yards from Back tees will take three good shots to make the green in Regulation."

The front nine is referred to as "The Prairie" and the back nine is known as "The Marsh".
