Course Tour
Hole 1 - Par 4 | Handicap 1
This hole plays uphill all the way. Two large sand bunkers guard the fairway. A tee shot down the middle puts you in good shape for a 150-yd. approach shot to the green.
Hole 2 - Par 3 | Handicap 3
This is a long downhill par three that plays to an elevated green. You will probably have to carry your shot to the green to have a reasonable chance for a par on this hole.
Hole 3 - Par 4 | Handicap 9
This is an uphill short par 4. Keep it left of the fairway bunkers and this could be your first bird of the day.
Hole 4 - Par 5 | Handicap 13
Second hardest hole on the course. Fairway doglegs sharply to the left. It takes a great shot to carry this corner with any tee shot. If you try, you will have to negotiate water, sand, tall prairie grass and out of bounds on the left side. If you slice your tee shot, you could still be 200 yds from the green for your second shot.
Hole 5 - Par 3 | Handicap 17
This hole (and #14) have yielded the most “holes in one” on the course. Good luck!
Hole 6 - Par 4 | Handicap 5
Don’t hook this tee shot because the Sauk River borders the left side of the fairway all the way to the green. On your second shot, you can also get in trouble – left side of the green (sand), right and back of the green (long grass and mounding) so play second shot safe. This green has a lot of undulations. A true putting challenge.
Hole 7 - Par 4 | Handicap 15
This hole could play short if the wind is out of the south. Green is elevated and two levels. If pin is in the back, make sure your approach shot is hit well.
Hole 8 - Par 5 | Handicap 11
This is a good uphill three shot par 5. Keep drive left side of fairway, 2nd shot keep right side of fairway and approach should be straight for the green.
Hole 9 - Par 4 | Handicap 7
On your second shot, you will have a large green to hit (10,000 sq. ft.) but you will have to carry water (50 yards from the green) and a sand bunker to get there. If you are on the green in two, you are not guaranteed routine par with this large green.
Hole 10 - Par 4 | Handicap 14
Decision time for your tee shot – Try to carry the water on the left side of the fairway (180 yd. from white tees) which will set up a great angle for your approach shot to the green. Or play it safe down the right side of the fairway, but then you might be forced to carry the water which boarders the right side of the green on your next shot depending on the pin location for that day. Great hole!
Hole 11 - Par 4 | Handicap 8
This hole keep drive left side of fairway. Carry over the hilland ball will run to green. Your approach to the green is leveradged.
Hole 12 - Par 5 | Handicap 16
This par five is a dogleg to the right. If you can cut the corner with your tee shot, you could record a birdie on this hole.
Hole 13 - Par 4 | Handicap 6
Second hardest hole on the course. Fairway doglegs sharply to the left. It takes a great shot to carry this corner with any tee shot. If you try, you will have to negotiate sand, tall prairie grass and out of bounds on the left side. If you slice your tee shot, you could still be 200 yds from the green for your second shot.
Hole 14 - Par 3 | Handicap 18
This hole(and #5) have yielded the most “holes in one” on the course. Good luck!
Hole 15 - Par 5 | Handicap 4
This hole is one of the longest par 5’s in Minnesota. Keep your drive left - fairway slopes right. 2nd shot will be on a side hill. This is a 3 shot 5 par.
Hole 16 - Par 4 | Handicap 10
This hole plays downhill to a dog leg right green. Approach shot to the green should be a mid iron.
Hole 17 - Par 3 | Handicap 12
A newly added sand trap in front of this par 3’s green makes a par a great score.
Hole 18 - Par 4 | Handicap 2
On the tee, you wlll notice out of bounds to the left, water to the right, and that the narrow fairway slopes hard towards the water. Your tee shot will play a big part in your score on this hole. Once on this large undulating green, your putting game will be challenged. Every shot needs to be good on this hole to get a par. A very good finishing hole!
